Don’t Let Your Members (or Staff) Miss Out on Online Profiles

When you give your church members their own personal online member profiles, it’s a win-win situation for them and for your church staff.

1. Members Need the Ability to Update Their Own Information

Without online member profiles, if someone has any change to their personal information, they need to call your office to update you. Or maybe they can fill out a form in your bulletin to update their info. Either way, the information gets changed slowly, or possibly not at all.

When you give your members their own online profiles, they will appreciate the convenience of being able to keep their information up-to-date. They can help their church family stay up to date on everything from address changes, to a new baby in the family, to a new cell phone number.

If members have extra concerns about privacy, they can easily mark parts or all of their information as private to keep it from appearing on the directory.

This benefits your staff as well. When members update their online profile, it not only updates the directory, it also updates your Servant Keeper database, meaning your church staff will have fewer information changes to try to keep track of. And, with Servant Keeper online member profiles, your staff can still stay in control by choosing what types of information members can edit and add to their profile.

Making updates to their profile is simple. They just access your password protected online directory, scroll to the bottom, and click manage my family info. Here, they’ll enter their own personal email address and password to edit their information.

2. You Can Encourage Your Members to be Faithful in Their Giving

Encourage faithful, cheerful giving. Allow your members to sign and view their giving history at any time. Your members are already accustomed to getting online to do everything from banking to bill pay. They will love having the ability to log in and see where they stand with their giving to your ministry.

Not only can they see giving history, they can also use this information to see how they’re giving has changed over time. Plus, members will also be able to view any pledges they have made, and see how close they are to fulfilling that pledge.

Plus, your members will be able to print their own contribution statements! This means they have them at their fingertips for tax purposes whenever they need.

Finally, if your church offers online giving, you can add a “give” button to their online profile, making giving even easier for them.

3. Make it Easy for Members to Get Involved in Classes, home groups, Events and More!

No longer do members have to remember to find a sign up sheet floating around the church somewhere. Instead, they can sign into their online member profile, and see all the classes, events, home groups, prayer lists and more that your church is offering. Then, by simply checking a box, they can sign up to be involved. They’ll start receiving any communications you’re sending regarding those events/classes/etc.
